We take you to the world of Jim Corbett, the renowned naturalist and wildlife expert, to the foothills of the Kumaon where he lived and wrote about his many experiences and to the national park named in his honor.

Corbett explored Kumaon extensively and his name is synonymous with that of the tiger about whom he was passionate. He acquired a still camera and later from Lord Strathcona, a Bell and Howell Movie camera. Once a hunter, Corbett now became a wildlife photographer and conservationist.

Corbett National Park is host to an astounding variety of fauna and flora. The park is also a Project Tiger reserve and tiger spotting tops the list of activities here. Elephants, chittal (spotted deer), sambhar, leopard, hog, porcupines, sloth bear, langur and a number of other animals roam in the thickly forested reserve. Hundreds of species of birds visit the park and make it their home.
