Our programmes
inculcate awareness through first hand experience, travel and dialogue.
Ours is not simply a tree plantation programmme. We firmly believe that
active participation brings about a sense of involvement and responsibility.
It is not enough to talk about the fragile state of our environment.
It is imperative that we are equipped to understand how our individual life
fits into the global mosaic so that we are made aware of the impact of our
action on ourselves as well as our fellow men.
| Neither
camera nor words can capture the sweeping beauty and grandeur of the
Great Himalayas. Our treks take you through Uttaranchal, the twin
regions of Kumaon and Garhwal. Though both these regions share the
same flora and fauna, and have similar cultures, the terrains are
quite different. |
|
Kumaon is gentle, accesible and green, compared to Garhwal's rugged
and harsh landscape. Garhwal is "Dev Bhumi", Land of the
Gods. The Ganges finds her source here and four major "Dhams",
pilgrimage sites are located in Garhwal. |
