ANGLER'S CHOICE
The
Ramganga and Kosi rivers abound in fresh water game fish like the golden
or Himalayan mahseer (Barbus tor putitora), the silver and
black mahseer, goonch (Bagarus bagarius), trout and other species.
We offer lake and river fishing for the avid angler. Fly-fishing and spinning and many variations of each technique can be used depending on weather and water conditions, the type of fish sought and the season of the year.
Our package offers a delightful and relaxing holiday far from the madding crowd.
Though fishing is possible from September and onwards, the best season starts from mid-February till the end of June.
Since this is a special interest sport, anglers provide all the equipment themselves.
Permits will be acquired from the forest department once your booking is confirmed.
Suggestions for fly-fishing: Floating fly-line, black/gold wet tube flies, algae like yellow/green flies, cast line strength: 8-10 LBS.
Suggestions for spin-fishing: Spinners No.2/3/4, gold/silver/bronze, swivel spoons and tobys, fish plugs for pools, fishing line strength: 12-15 LBS.
