"Tyger! Tyger! burning bright In the forests of the night, What immortal hand or eye Could frame thy fearful symmetry?"

JUNGLE LORE SAFARI PACKAGES

Our wildlife package takes you to the world of Jim Corbett, the renowned naturalist and wildlife expert, to the foothills of the Kumaon where he lived and wrote about his many experiences. We will also visit the National Park, named in Corbett's honor. Corbett explored Kumaon extensively and his name is synonymous with the tiger of which he was so passionate.

Corbett National Park, spread over 520 square kilometers, is host to an astounding variety of fauna and flora. The park is also a Project Tiger reserve and tiger spotting tops the list of activities. Elephants, crocodiles, gharials, chittal (spotted deer) sambhar, leopard, hog, porcupines, sloth bear, langur and a number of the animals roam in the thickly forested reserve. Hundreds of species of birds visit the park and make it their home, attracting the ornithologist and amateur alike.

We also include rock climbing in our package. This is the rock climbing training area of the Nainital Mountaineering Club and is one of the best in the country.

Suggestions: a pair of good binoculars, stout walking shoes, Salim Ali's book on Indian Hill Birds
