MILAM GLACIER PACKAGE


Milam, at 3,450 meters, is probably the largest glacier in the Kumaon region and lies in the Eastern region of the Kumaon. The home of the renowned Pundit Explorers who maintained trading relationships with Tibet for many generations, this is also the last major settlement before Tibet. Traditional folklore and handicrafts thrive in the entire region. The trail passes through high alpine meadows with panoramic views of Panchachuli, Nanda Devi and the peaks of Nepal, impressive waterfalls and forests of rhododendron, conifers, chestnut and bamboo.

The journey involves about 10 days of trekking between 4-7 hours each day.

Suggestions: stout pair of walking shoes, windcheater, a thick pullover, lip salve, sunscreen lotion.
